A quote for MLK Day:
“Power without love is reckless and abusive,
and love without power is sentimental and anemic.
Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice,
and justice at its best is power correcting everything that stands against love.”
Martin Luther King Jr.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response

Update as of January 1, 2022,  Masks at Church: COVID continues to persist, straining our medical facilities and pushing our endurance to the limits. The CDC recommends all people, regardless of vaccination status, wear masks indoors. First Church will continue to follow the CDC guidance and recommends you wear a mask while inside the church building. You may remove masks during events when eating, but we encourage social distancing. When the Kent County transmission level decreases to moderate, we will again be able to gather without masks. Thank you for helping our community mitigate the spread of Covid-19.

We believe church is family, and relationships are at the heart of everything we do.

How is God calling you
to be church?

Maybe church looks like a Zumba class in the Fellowship Hall. Or church could mean playing Connect Four with an elementary school student you mentor. Maybe church is spending your Wednesday night playing games, doing crafts, and learning about God's Word with kids. Church could also be joining an in-depth Bible study like The Journey.
